The Christian Malford Events Committee has been running community events for over 20 years. The annual Bonfire & Firework Spectacular has developed into one of the region’s biggest and best displays whilst still maintaining its village feel. This is something the organisers strive to uphold year on year, to put on a safe, value for money event that the whole family can enjoy.
From time to time, the same Committee also puts on other events, such as the hugely successful The Wurzels 2019, Magic Queen 2021, Abba Revival 2022, last year’s fantastic Take That tribute & this year’s incredible Bon Giovi performance.
Organisers
The Committee is comprised of villagers (and honorary villagers) who donate their skills and time each year to put on our events. We are not a professional events company - just a group of keen volunteers from the village & surrounding areas.
All of our helpers work hard in their own time to put on safe, enjoyable events for the thousands of people who join us each year.
Fireworks Team
We are extremely fortunate to have living in the village the Firework equivalent of The STIG, who we call ‘John’. John has designed and developed firework displays over many years and is a special effects expert. He was also heavily involved in the special effects for the Olympic opening ceremony.
Visit his company website to see more of his skills in action. John and his team build this expertise into providing the village with what many say is the best firework display they have ever seen.
Proceeds
All Christian Malford events raise money for local good causes, via the Christian Malford Community Charity (registered charity no. 1207745).
The proceeds are invested directly back into charitable causes in the local area: every event is by the community, for the community.
